Parent & Child Workshop: Develop Empathy in Children with Lego!

This 4-hour workshop is designed to give parents an opportunity to explore serious topics on empathy and emotions together with their children using Lego and other creative activities. Together, parent and child will develop a story-board to describe what empathy means to their family.

About the event

HOLDING SPACE X MINDSTUDIO COLLABORATION

The workshop is designed around the elements of 3-Es and 3-Cs.  It is Experiential, encourages Expression in your children and understanding of the value of Empathy.  The workshop also emphasises Creativity, Curiosity and Confidence.

 Experiential 

  • This workshop is filled with stimulating hands-on activities for both children and parents.

 Expression 

  • Children are encouraged to express how they feel by building and presenting their Lego models. 

 Empathy 

  • You and your children will learn the range of emotions and how to empathise with others.

 Creativity 

  • LEGO allows you and your children to explore empathy and emotions in a fun and creative way.

 Curiosity 

  • We guide parents and children to be curious about other people's emotions as well as their own.

 Confidence 

  • Children will have plenty of opportunity to build confidence by participating actively.

 Parent-Child Bonding 

  • This is a great opportunity for parents to help your children develop their Emotional Intelligence, watch them stand up and speak with confidence, spend some good quality bonding time and have fun together!
